Its Wednesday and so its time for our midweek wellness tip.
How has your week been? Are you doing ok, are you struggling to find a certain amount of balance in your life and you feel it life is just rolling away with you? Now is the time to find your inner balance.
Figure out what it is you want from life and now find that balance. Is it something to do with work or a personal issue? Did you know that one in six of us will experience a mental health problem in any given week and that 17% of people in the UK alone are on antidepressants. That's a shocking number so this is the time to really try and help yourself by finding alternative health therapies or getting the help you need by talking to someone. I am always here for you. I have even experienced stress related health problems in my life and how I got out of it was to talk to someone and go away and have a break and travel the world. That was the most amazing healing I have ever done. Now I know we are not allowed to travel at the moment so the next best thing would be to talk to someone or figure out what it is that is affecting you so badly and get the help you need.
Try some Deep Breathing techniques of which can be found HERE. Take yourself off to an area that you feel most comfortable in, close your eyes and breathe. Allow all your thoughts to wash over you. Now I want you to imagine a time when you were happy, what were you doing? How did that make you feel? The more happy thoughts we bring into our life, the easier it is to feel calmer releasing serotonin (the calming hormone) and decreasing cortisol (our stress hormone) and making ourselves feel happier and more alive. Once you have done your breathing, let your thoughts consume you. Cry, let it out. Crying is not a sign of weakness, far from it. Its a sign that your body needs to release the negative energy for you to move on and find your answers.
Asking for help is not a bad thing. Its the start of something bigger and for you to start healing. I know its so hard to talk about something that you feel you cant because you are in such a dark place right now, but Trust me, letting someone else know how you feel is a huge step in the right direction.
One more wellness tip for our Wellness Wednesday is to get enough sleep. This coincides with how you are feeling and the areas of your life you need to work on. Less sleep means less productiveness and tiredness so listen to a meditation before bed, make sure you go to bed at a reasonable time and allow your thoughts to drift off.
