Seated Spinal Twist

Updated: Jan 29, 2021

Seated Spinal Twist Do you ever suffer with Middle Back or Lower Back pain from sitting at your desk for long periods of time? Try this Seated Spinal Twist. It releases tension build up in the spine, pelvis and abdomen area. It's a gentle twist as well as a nice massage for your internal organs allowing the blood to flow easier and getting oxygen to the brain quicker, releasing endorphins (the bodies happy hormone).

Come to a comfortable seated position (cross legged if that's comfortable) and push to the front of your sitting bones. Lift up through your chest and the crown of your head, pushing down into your sitting bones. Bring one hand to the opposite knee and bring the other hand around the back placing it on the floor behind you. On an inhale lift up through your chest and exhale twisting round to take the gaze over your shoulder. Every inhale lift up, every exhale twist round. You probably will notice your spine crack. That's good. Trust me.

I hope you find this post helpful.

Let me know!

Have a blessed day!
