We are often told that the perfect morning routine involves meditation, a green juice, or hitting the gym. But as a sex and relationship coach, there is one foundational, body-honouring activity that I recommend to my clients above everything else: starting your day with an orgasm.

Masturbating first thing in the morning will start your day off with a bang, quite literally. It is an incredible, natural tool for mental clarity, stress regulation, and building a deep sense of internal power before you even step foot out of bed.

Here is the raw, biological reality of why a morning climax is the ultimate wellness regime, and why I swear by it for resetting your day.

The Biology of the Morning Climax

When you wake up, you are already mostly half-naked, which is a perfect start anyway. Your body temperature is naturally warmer due to you sleeping, meaning your muscles are relaxed and your nerve endings are already primed and easy to get going.

Because you are lying there in the quiet of the morning, you are far more likely to focus better. You are entirely in the moment there and then. You are thinking about how it feels, how your body feels, and tracking your breath rhythm, making the experience feel much more like a mindful meditation rather than a rushed chore.

Beating the Morning Cortisol Spike

When we first wake up, our bodies experience a natural surge in cortisol levels. This is a normal part of your circadian rhythm designed to wake you up, but it can often leave you feeling instantly anxious, stressed, or overwhelmed by the day ahead.

When you masturbate and reach orgasm, you effectively short-circuit that stress response and create a powerful morning chemical reset:

  • Cortisol is kept at bay: This stops morning anxiety and panic before it has a chance to take hold of your day.

  • Oxytocin floods the nervous system: Your natural love hormone releases, instantly boosting feelings of self-trust and self-love.

  • Dopamine sparks motivation: Your brain gets a fresh hit of its primary feel-good chemical, making you feel alert, happy, and ready to focus.

When you masturbate and reach orgasm, you effectively short-circuit that stress response. The climax forces the cortisol to stay at bay, making way for a massive flood of oxytocin (your love hormone) and dopamine (your feel-good hormone) to be released into your system.

The Ultimate Somatic Beauty Regime

Beyond the emotional release, orgasms actively boost physical blood flow all around the body. As you are building up to a climax, there is a massive surge in blood flow directed straight toward your genitals. Once the release happens, that oxygen-rich blood supply pumps beautifully toward other areas of the body:

  • To the Brain: It brings a sudden rush of fresh oxygen to your brain, instantly waking you up, clearing away morning brain fog, and allowing you to think much clearer.

  • To the Lips: It enhances the localized blood flow to your face and lips, making them look naturally fuller and giving you a gorgeous, healthy morning glow.

It is a phenomenal beauty and confidence regime. It changes how you carry yourself, boosts your self-esteem, and dictates how you show up in the world.

My Coaching Mantra: Go ahead and head to the office with the fireworks already set off before your morning coffee. It is one of my absolute go-to activities for my clients to do every single day before they get up. I swear by it.
