You would think the UK’s oldest, most prestigious universities would be leading the charge in student care. Instead, they frequently score the lowest for LGBTQ+ friendliness. Why? It really comes down to deep-seated institutional barriers. These older universities have been set in their ways for centuries. They are operating on archaic rulebooks that simply haven't moved with the times or evolved to match the cultural backgrounds of today's students.
