The Great Conjunction and Winter Solstice
Today Monday 21 December is the shortest day of the year, it is also a major astrological feat. Depending on weather, Saturn and Jupiter will appear so close in the sky, that it will be difficult to see them as two separate objects. Dancing across the night sky, Jupiter and Saturn will make their show stopping move at 5pm GMT when they align to form what's known as the 'Great Conjunction.' It will be the brightest star in the sky. To see this happening, look south west at 5pm (fingers crossed for good weather) and look at this amazing thing that is happening. This happens roughly every 20 years.
Another amazing fact is that Saturn and Jupiter will now be aligned in Aquarius (The Air Sign) which it is normally aligned within the Earth Sign So this is amazing. This happens every 400 years or so. The amount of energy this will be creating is amazing. It means that these 2 planets are the closest they've been for over 400 years. This energy will be so positive and we really need to meditate on this for us to really feel connected to this amazing astrological amazement. Its time look forward into greater alignment
within ourselves, knowledge, wisdom, technology, equality and progression within ourselves.
With these two planets aligned, we can now create a life we want or a life we need. If you are not into the planets and signs then even just staring up at the sky and seeing the brightest star this evening will be amazing.
Today also happens to be the Winter Solstice. The shortest day of the year or the longest night (which ever way you want to look at it) in the Northern Hemisphere. This means that the earth is tilted on its axis the furthest away from the sun. From tomorrow the earth will be getting closer to the sun and we will be moving towards the longest day in the year (21st June). This seems such a long way away at the moment especially with what's happening in the world right now, but lets get back to the Winter Solstice.
